  • Play new and exciting lights out air hockey with the light up pucks and pushers

The Triumph Fire ‘n Ice LED Light-Up 54″ Air Hockey Table could light up your game room. This hockey table comes with LED lights on the pucks and pushers, so feel free to turn the lights off for an intense game of air hockey.

The table comes with a manual abacus scoring board. Alternatively, you can keep score the easy way and plug in the table to use the electronic scoreboard. The manufacturer has gone all out with the lights on this one, and the corners flash intensely every time you score a goal.

This Triumph air hockey table comes with two hockey pushers (one blue and one red) and one hockey puck.

On the downside, the blower motor on this table isn’t that powerful. You might notice the puck coming to a stop more often than you would like. This air hockey table is also a compact model measuring 54″ L x 27″ W x 31″ H, which is perfect for kids but not so much for adults.

The Triumph Fire ‘n Ice LED Light-Up 54″ Air Hockey Table is perfect for a kid’s game room.

  • Height-adjustable legs ensure the table is perfectly level

  • UPGRADED FEATURES - Air hockey table comes with an improved electronic scorer for uninterrupted fun. Faster fan speed for more exciting game plays. The improved packaging with strong cardboard protects the table from shipping damages. Enjoy your air hockey tournaments with family, friends or loved ones.

Harvil is a known brand in the table games niche. This brand also makes excellent shuffleboards, foosball tables, and dartboards in addition to air hockey tables. The Harvil 5 Foot Air Hockey Table with Dual Electric Blowers is 60″ L x 26″ W x 31″ H, which is excellent even for a game room.

The leg levelers allow you to ensure that the table is perfectly level for gameplay and is sturdy enough to withstand rough games. This table comes with 100V dual motors, which put out adequate power to keep the game going.

Its electronic scoring board allows you to focus on the game without worrying about tallying the scores. Also, the minimalist white and blue playing field doesn’t distract players who like to focus on their game.

The Harvil 5 Foot Air Hockey Table with Dual Electric Blowers offers excellent value for money, but it comes with some downsides. This option isn’t a tournament-sized hockey table, so there is a limit to how rough and intense adults can play. The table also doesn’t have any effects like sounds and lights. People who like the authentic arcade experience may find this model slightly boring.

What We Liked:

  • Great value for money
  • Easy to put together, comes with easy-to-follow diagram instructions
  • Sturdy, height-adjustable legs ensure that table remains stable
  • Electronic scoreboard allows you to focus on the gameplay

What We Didn’t Like:

ESPN Sports Air Hockey Game Table

ESPN Air Hockey Game Table: Indoor Sports Gaming Table Set with Equipment Accessories - 2 Paddles, 2 Pucks, and LED Electronic Score Keeper - 5 Feet
  • COMPACT SIZE & STRONG AIR FLOW: This 5’ ESPN hockey table is compact and built to blend fast air-powered hockey fun with a family game room Arcade design, the table ships partially preassembled with accessories needed to start playing

The ESPN Sports Air Hockey Game Table is a good looking piece that you would be proud to show off in your game room. The table measures 60″ L x 32″ W x 32″ H, making this a compact air hockey table for kids and young teens.

Adults need not worry about joining in on the action. The table sports lateral cross-braces and full-panel leg support. The legs are sturdy enough to handle even the most enthusiastic adult.

This model comes with the standard two pushers and two pucks and is complete with arcade sound effects for a more realistic gaming experience. The UL certified motor isn’t quite as powerful as what you would get on the more premium ESPN hockey tables, but it still does an excellent job keeping the puck floating throughout the game.

The chief complaint here is that the goal boxes on this model are made from cheap plastic and can crack from particularly hard hits. We also wish that the table was made from better material than compressed particle board. Still, the particleboard construction is hardly a surprise at this price range.

The ESPN Sports Air Hockey Game Table is a great deal for its price and is an excellent alternative to the Harvil 5 Foot Air Hockey Table featured above.

What We Liked:

  • Great value for money
  • Sturdy construction makes it suitable for adult players
  • Integrated sound effects for arcade-like experience
  • Decent motor for the price
  • Compatible with a ping pong conversion top

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Cheaply constructed goal boxes may crack from sustained impact

Harvil 4 Foot Air Hockey Game Table

Harvil 4 Foot Air Hockey Game Table for Kids and Adults with Electronic Scorer, Free Pushers and Pucks
  • UPGRADED FEATURES - A more stable electronic scorer that ensures uninterrupted fun. Wider goals for easy puck retrieval without any worry of hurting your hands. Faster fan speed for more exciting game plays. Enjoy your air hockey tournaments with family, friends or loved ones.

If you are looking for an inexpensive air hockey table for your kids, the Harvil 4 Foot Air Hockey Game Table might just be for you. This table is small even for a compact model and measures 48″x 24″x 31″. You can easily tuck it in the corner of the room if you are short on space.

This air hockey table comes with two pucks and two paddles. Although the air hockey table doesn’t have adjustable legs, it has leg levelers to ensure that you can keep the table even and sturdy while the kids play.

The 100V electric blower is hardly anything to brag about, but the table’s small size makes it quite useful during gameplay. This model also comes with an electronic scoreboard, which is a pleasant surprise at this price range.

One consistent complaint about the Harvil 4 Foot Air Hockey Game Table is the poorly constructed electronic scoreboard. You might want to get an alternative counter as this scoreboard tends to malfunction or doesn’t keep an accurate score.

What We Liked:

  • Inexpensive air hockey table for kids
  • Good quality MDF fiberboard construction
  • 100V electric motor
  • Leg levelers are suitable for uneven flooring

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Kids-only air hockey table is not ideal for adults
  • The poorly constructed electronic scoreboard

Lanos 5 Foot Air Hockey Table for Kids and Adults

Air Hockey Table for Kids and Adults | 5 Foot Air Hockey Game Table with Electronic Scoreboard, Powerful Dual-Air Blowers, 4 Pushers, and 2 Hockey Pucks | Ice Hockey Game Room Table
  • ✅5 FOOT AIR HOCKEY TABLE: Best Air Hockey Table for teenagers and adults. This adult air hockey table has cool, vibrant graphics that will bring a splash of color to your game room, family room, kids room, living room, garage, or basement.

This Lanos 5 Foot Air Hockey Table sports cool graphics and arcade-style aesthetics. The table measures 60″L x 26″W x 31″H, putting it squarely in the compact category.

This model comes with four paddles rather than the standard two. The extra paddles mean that you can get more people in on the action. The table is sturdy and has adjustable leg levelers to ensure that the playing surface is always level. The legs’ bottom also features scratch-proof material so you don’t have to worry about your delicate flooring.

The Lanos 5 Foot Air Hockey Table also comes with dual 100V electric blowers to reduce dead spots on the table surface and keep the puck sliding smoothly. Finally, the electronic scoreboard keeps accurate scores throughout the game.

The downside of this model is that the puck tends to fly off the table, especially when the adults are playing. If you need a table just for adults, this might not be your first choice. This table is still an excellent option for kids and young teens.

What We Liked:

  • Attractive arcade-style graphics
  • Reliable electronic scoreboard
  • Scratch-resistant table legs protect your floors
  • Good dual electric blower

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Puck tends to fly off the table during aggressive play
  • Not an ideal air hockey table for adults

Hall of Games Edgewood 84" Air Powered Hockey Table, White/Black
  • Slick playing surface with premium blower fan powered by 120V AC UL certified motor, provides maximum, even air flow throughout the entire playing surface.

For air hockey fans that are not afraid to pay top dollar for a table, the Hall of Games Edgewood 84″ Air Powered Hockey Table is worth looking into. This table is full-size, allowing you to have your friends over for tournaments.

The air hockey table‘s aesthetic is a cross between modern and classic with its futuristic LED scoreboard and traditional wooden-like legs. The odd combination works quite well. This air hockey table is beautiful and could easily be the centerpiece of your game room.

The PVC laminate legs are reinforced by metal bars to host tournaments without worry about aggressive players breaking or damaging your table. This model also comes complete with arcade sounds, four premium pushers, and four pucks. You have everything you need to start playing after putting the unit together.

Lastly, the 120V UL certified motor on this one is the best we have seen in this review and eliminates dead spots while supporting a smooth puck glide.

The major complaint about the Hall of Games Edgewood 84″ is that the table is cumbersome.  You will need some help during assembly and when moving it to its location. Some people might also find this table quite pricey. This model is worth it if you are looking for the best air hockey table for home tournaments.

What We Liked:

  • Premium air hockey table is perfect for tournaments
  • Beautifully designed unit
  • Powerful 120V eliminates dead spots
  • Sound effects create an arcade atmosphere

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Expensive
  • The massive unit can be challenging to assemble and move

Rally and Roar Tabletop Air Hockey Table

Rally and Roar Electronic Tabletop Air Hockey Game, Includes 2 Pucks, 2 Pushers, Built In Scoreboard
  • IMPROMPTU GAME, ANYTIME: In under 15 minutes, you can assemble this mini-series tabletop hockey game, making it the perfect addition to parties, pub crawls, Family Game Night or tailgates. Simply attach the padded legs and goal box and you’re ready to go!

It might be the case that you don’t have the budget or the space to get any of the tables that we have reviewed so far. It might also be the case that you don’t play air hockey often enough to justify spending $100+ on a table.

The Rally and Roar Tabletop Air Hockey Table is a travel-size unit that you can take anywhere without disassembling it. The foldable legs make storage a breeze while the dense fiber wood construction is as durable as many of the more expensive air hockey tables.

This model comes with a 12V motor and two electronic scoreboards, one on each side of the goals. It also comes complete with two mini pucks and two mini pushers. Assembly only requires installing the legs and goal box, which you can get done in less than 20 minutes.

The 40″ L x 20″ W x 9″ H offers a decent play area and makes it easy to store and transport.

The only thing to complain about here, and this is trivial, is that the package doesn’t include the two AAA batteries needed for the electronic scoreboard. Other than that, the Rally and Roar Tabletop Air Hockey Table delivers on its promises as long as you have reasonable expectations.

What We Liked:

  • Cheap table-top air hockey table
  • The travel-size table is easy to transport and store
  • Good quality construction for the price
  • Padded legs won’t scratch your table surface

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Batteries not included

Sale
Sport Squad HX40 40 inch Table Top Air Hockey Table for Kids and Adults - Electric Motor Fan - Includes 2 Pushers and 2 Air Hockey Pucks - Great for Playing on The Floor, Tabletop, or Dorm Room
  • HIGH OUTPUT FAN CREATES A REALISTIC ARCADE-STYLE GAME PLAY: Powered by AC-12V motor and included adapter, the electric fan provides powerful, yet quiet and even airflow for a smooth and frictionless playing surface.

The Sports Squad HX40 40 Inch Table Top Air Hockey Table is yet another mini table measuring in at 42″ L x 23.7″ W x 5″ H. The unit is so easy to set up that even your older kids can get it done. Simply attach the two goal boxes and start playing with the two mini pucks and two mini paddles included in your package.

This table comes with a 12V fan that keeps the puck gliding smoothly on an air hockey table of this size. You can place the unit directly on the table, and the non-stain rubber pads at the bottom will protect your precious table from dings and scratches.

Overall this is a well-constructed table for the price, but it has some downsides. The Sports Squad HX40 doesn’t come with legs. The missing legs can make finding the perfect height for your kids a little tricky. The fan is also too close to the ground, so don’t use this model on your carpet. This advice is especially important if there are people with allergies in your household.

The Rally and Roar Tabletop Air Hockey Table that we reviewed above might be a better alternative to the Sports Squad HX40. You would have to be willing to pay a little extra and sacrifice a few inches of the play area. But overall, this is an excellent game for kids.

What We Liked:

  • Super-easy setup, simply attach the goal boxes
  • Cheap table-top air hockey table
  • Sufficient 12V fan ensures smooth gameplay
  • Rubber pads protect your tabletop from scratches

What We Didn’t Like:

  • This model doesn’t have legs
  • The manual scorer may interrupt gameplay

Playcraft Sport 40-Inch Table Top Air Hockey

The best way to think of the Playcraft Sport 40-Inch Table Top Air Hockey is that this is an inexpensive toy for kids. If you are looking for an air hockey table to compete with your friends after downing a few drinks, this model isn’t the one.

The Playcraft Sport 40-Inch is constructed with solid MDF, which is a pleasant surprise at this price range. The table is 42.6″ L x 23.2″ W x 4.4″ H and comes with the standard two mini pucks and two mini pushers. You get a 12V motor on this model, which works well enough for an air hockey table of this size.

One criticism about this table is that it comes with a manual scorekeeper. This flaw is hardly a deal-breaker at this price. But consider that other similar-priced models like the Rally and Roar Tabletop Air Hockey Table have electronic scoreboards. This Playcraft Sport 40-inch Table Top Air Hockey also doesn’t come with ‘proper’ legs, so the fan sits too close to the ground. The missing legs can be a problem if you are playing on a carpet. The fan can blow dust, allergens, and odors around the room.

Otherwise, this is an excellent gift for kids under ten years and is perfect for the occasional game of air hockey.

What We Liked:

  • Proper solid MDF construction for the price
  • Easy assembly only takes a few minutes
  • Travel-size air hockey table
  • Affordable

What We Didn’t Like:

  • Fewer features than other models in the same price range

Lanos 40 Inch Electronic Tabletop Air Hockey Table for Kids

Lastly, we have the Lanos 40 Inch Electronic Tabletop Air Hockey Table for Kids. This model comes with the standard 12V fan that you find on tables. A fan of this size still works quite well to keep the puck moving smoothly.

The table is easy to assemble; you only need to install the goals and the legs. You can start playing within a few minutes of the package arriving. This one comes with two mini pucks and two mini pushers.

Unlike some of the similar tabletop models we have reviewed here, this option comes with actual legs to give you proper ground clearance. The clearance is useful if you are going to place it on the floor or the carpet.

The Lanos Electronic Tabletop Hair Hockey Table for Kids measures 40″ L x 20″ W x 8″ H. The small size is convenient for traveling or storing away when not in use. You also get a manual scorekeeper with this model. A manual scorekeeper isn’t such a bad thing considering that the electronic scoreboards at this price range tend to be poorly constructed.

The main downside here is that this tabletop air hockey table is far too small for adults. This model is a fun and affordable tabletop game for kids.

What We Liked:

  • Decent play area for a tabletop air hockey table
  • Good quality construction for the price
  • Affordable
  • Comes with legs for ground clearance

What We Didn’t Like:

  • The table is far too small for adults

Types of Air Hockey Tables

There are a couple of different air hockey tables, and it would be useful to cover them in this review just to make sure you know what to look for when you go out to buy one.

Tabletop Air Hockey Tables

These tables are the least expensive and take up the least amount of space in your home. This model is an excellent option for people with young children who cannot reach larger tables or for people with limited space.

As the name suggests, these units sit on top of a table, like a chessboard. The typical dimensions for a tabletop air hockey table are 40″L x 20″ W x 9″ H – give or take a few inches. Table-top air hockey tables usually cost less than $100.

These tables tend to be made from cheap material or lower quality material than the more premium models, so they do not last as long. The units are designed for children and cannot withstand aggressive play. You may want to look at the compact models if you need a table for teens and adults.

Compact/Basic Air Hockey Table

Compact air hockey tables are a good compromise between tabletop models and the top-of-the-range arcade-style options. There is a great variety here, and the ideal choice depends on who the table is for.

Table sizes in this category vary widely from approx 50-70″ L x 24-26″W x 31″ H. Some of these tables come with basic features. In contrast, others come complete with electronic scoreboards and arcade sounds. The air hockey tables in this category range from $130-$300 and are perfect for young and older teens and adults.

This category is the best for beginners and intermediate players who want a table to practice at home.

Professional/Arcade-Style Air Hockey Table

Professional or arcade-style tables are full-size tables just like the ones you see at the arcade. Once more, the options vary wildly in this category, but most tables are 7-8 feet long. The regulation length for a tournament air hockey table is 8 feet long.

These tables are solidly constructed and come with powerful motors with virtually no dead spots on the playing surface. The pucks and paddles in this category tend to be higher quality, and the play area smoother and larger. These tables also tend to have more arcade-like features, including sights and sounds.

Premium models in this category can easily cost upwards of $1000. These are perfect for pro players or for people who like to entertain often.

Combination Air Hockey Table

If you have a game room but no budget to fill it with different types of table games, a combination air hockey table is the perfect solution. As the name suggests, the table supports games other than air hockey. Other games may include foosball, ping pong, and billiards.

You will typically have to buy a conversion table that you put on top of the air hockey table to convert it into a ping pong table. This is much cheaper than buying a full-size ping pong table and also saves you a lot of space rather than having separate tables. Combination tables range from $500 – $1000 or higher for the premium models.

5 Things to Consider When Buying an Air Hockey Table

Not all air hockey tables are created equal, so there are several factors to pay attention to when choosing the best air hockey table for home.

Size

This is a great place to start. Do you want a small table for kids, a compact table that will fit most rooms, or do you have space for a full-size arcade-style hockey table?

Keep in mind that you need at least 36 inches of space on either end of the table to play comfortably. Also, it is worth noting that the table’s size and the motor’s power go hand in hand. Smaller tables have less powerful motors.

Construction Material

The material the air hockey table is made out of impacts the life of the table. Here, more expensive tables tend to have a better and more durable construction. Solid wood is the best and most durable construction material, while the particleboard is the least durable.

Leg construction is equally important. The legs support the weight of the table and should also withstand aggressive play. Steel, wood laminate, and solid wood are the best materials for the table legs.

Motor

The motor helps the puck glide smoothly across the table surface during gameplay, so you want a powerful motor. The best is 120V that you typically find on larger arcade-style tables.

A 100V motor is ordinary but is still good enough for most tables if you don’t mind a few dead spots. You might want to go with dual motors for the 100V tables for the best result. Make sure that the motor is UL approved as these tend to run quieter and provide more consistent airflow.

Pucks and Pushers

Pucks and pushers come standard with most tables, but these can vary in quality and comfort. Smaller tables come with smaller pucks, around 2 ¾ inches. Larger tables come with 3 ¼ pucks. Larger pucks require more powerful motors, while smaller pucks are perfect for children.

Smaller pushers may be right for children by they can leave an adults’ fingers exposed to painful hits from the puck. You can also buy pushers and pucks separately if you are not happy with the ones that come with your table, which tends to happen fairly often in the budget category.

Scoring Board

Keeping score is all part of the game, and having a way to do this other than memorizing the scores can help avoid potential disagreements. Most air hockey tables come with a scoreboard, either manual or electric.

Electronic scoreboards are more convenient since they automatically keep score. On the other hand, these scoreboards tend to be designed poorly on cheaper models. An electronic scoreboard is not always the best option.

Manual scorekeepers don’t need batteries and are less likely to record accidental goals.
